Trip Menu

All our trips are to and from the station you board at and are named firstly and lastly with the station you leave from and return to. The majority are from Coffs Harbour Railway Station and depending on if you are going North, South or both then those destinations are listed in the title. Please check the map above to ensure you can select the trip that best suits you. You are welcome to bring a picnic hamper especially for longer journeys and we do have drinks, snacks and souvenirs on board. As we are licenced no BYO alcohol is permitted. Kungala is not shown on the map however it is North of Glenreagh and as one of our longer trips it is ideal for a picnic and more leisurely cruise.

Coffs-Coramba-Coffs

Departs and returns from Coffs Harbour Railway Station.

Approximately 1 hour duration.

Highlights are; Coffs Creek, Park Beach reserve, Coffs Harbours “Sydney Barbour Bridge”, Red Hill foothills and banana plantations, the 5 Red Hill tunnels and rural hinterland before terminating at the old Coramba railway precinct and returning to Coffs Harbour station.

Coffs-Bonville-Coramba-Coffs

Departs and returns from Coffs Harbour Railway Station.

Approximately 1 1/2 hour duration.

Highlights are; Boambee Creek, coastal heathland, Bonville Creek, Coffs Creek, Park Beach reserve, Coffs Harbours “Sydney Barbour Bridge”, Red Hill foothills and banana plantations, the 5 Red Hill tunnels and rural hinterland before terminating at the old Coramba railway precinct and returning to Coffs Harbour station.

Coffs-Nana Glen-Coffs

Departs and returns from Coffs Harbour Railway Station.

Approximately 1 1/2 hour duration.

Highlights are; Coffs Creek, Park Beach reserve, Coffs Harbours “Sydney Barbour Bridge”, Red Hill foothills and banana plantations, the 5 Red Hill tunnels and rural hinterland beyond Coramba before terminating at the old Nana Glen railway precinct and returning to Coffs Harbour station.

Coffs-Glenreagh-Coffs

Departs and returns from Coffs Harbour Railway Station.

Approximately 2 hour duration.

Highlights are; Coffs Creek, Park Beach reserve, Coffs Harbours “Sydney Barbour Bridge”, Red Hill foothills and banana plantations, the 5 Red Hill tunnels and rural hinterland beyond Coramba and Nana Glen before terminating at the old Glenreagh railway precinct and returning to Coffs Harbour station.

This longer trip is ideal as a hinterland picnic trip, get a group together, pack a picnic basket and non alcoholic drinks (we are licenced for alcoholic drinks) and enjoy the longer trip in the hinterland.

Cando Cancer Dinner Train

Enjoy a unique evening out and support a great cause. The train departs Coffs at 5pm on Saturday the 10th Jaunary. Entree and drinks are served as we leave Coffs as we cruise up through the Red Hill tunnels and through the Orara Valley to Grafton. At Grafton your main meal is served ready for the cruise back to Coffs. Ticket includes 3 drink vouchers and Cando Cancer volunteers will have a raffle with great prizes so be sure to bring some cash 

(prefered due to limited eftpos service) or your cards. Cando is a 100% volunteer cancer trust and all funds go to supporting locals at the North Coast Cancer Institute.

Urunga Day Out

Approximately 5 1/2 hour duration that includes ½ hour train ride to Urunga, 4 ½ hours in Urunga and a ½ hour return train ride.

Highlights are; Boambee Creek, coastal heathland, Bonville Creek, Repton tunnel, Bellinger River, Kalang River 

You depart Coffs Harbour station at 11:27am and arrive at Urunga in time for lunch. From Urunga station it is a short walk to the village, beachside park and hotel. After you enjoy approximately 4 ½ hours in the village you return to Coffs Harbour station.

Urunga-Eungai-Urunga

Departs and returns from Urunga Railway Station.

Approximately 1 1/2 hour duration.

Highlights are; Dalhousie Creek “hole in the wall”, coastal heathland, Oyster Creek, Deep Creek, Cow Creek, Nambucca River, Warrell Creek, before terminating at the old Eungai railway precinct and returning to Urunga station.

You may also wish to book the Urunga-Euangai-Urunga as an extra trip to enjoy more of our scenic coastal landscape that includes the “hole in the wall” Dalihouse Creek vista.

Urunga-Bonville-Urunga

Departs and returns from Urunga Railway Station.

Approximately 1 hour duration.

Highlights are; Kalang River, coastal farmland, Bellinger River, Repton tunnel, coastal heath and forests before terminating at the old Bonville railway precinct and returning to Urunga station.

Heritage Rail Motor – Kyogle to Glenapp Return

Approximately 1 3/4 hours

From Kyogle Railway Station this popular trip takes you through the Border Ranges to Glenapp. You will see rich farmland as we leave Kyogle, Grady’s creek and its many bridges, Loadstone, Logan Creek, Cougal, Border Loop, the 1.1 km long Border Tunnel, Lyons Road and campgrounds before arriving as the restored Glenapp signal box and returning to Kyogle

Heritage Rail Motor – Kyogle to Nammoona and Return

Approximately 1 hour

Budget priced trip From Kyogle to the Nammoona siding (just North of Casino) and return. You will enjoy a relaxing trip through farmland, fairy hill and travel beside the Summerland Way before returning to Kyogle. This trip can be an extension to the Kyogle to Glenapp (border loop) trip. If you ar eplanning this trip as an extension please book the very popular Border Loop first.
